The Big Bleep

Birmingham Children's Hospital needs your energy to help our children. The Big Bleep is a very simple sponsored running event that is not only going to help raise money for some very deserving families and children but also will help you and your school get active, fit and healthy.

Big BleepPupils at Ridgeway School showing their support by recently running 'The Big Bleep' and raising over £2000 in the process

The event is based on the bleep test that is organised by many schools each year during the P.E lessons. The idea can therefore be tied into your P.E lessons making it simpler to organise and less to do before the fun begins!

All you have to do is:

1. Get registered with Birmingham Children’s Hospital for your exciting pack of goodies and tools.

2. Arrange for a 30 minute slot during the school timetable where each class or the whole school can take part in the Bleep Test.

3. Download the bleep test track from our website.

4. Set out your bleep test arena which is two simple lines to run between that are 20 metres apart.

5. Run as far as you can, not only for our children but also for health benefits for your students!

You can also send us a story of your event to put on our website and at the end of the year for the highest fundraising school there will be a chance to win some fantastic prizes courtesy (to be announced later).

To register it is very simple - you can download the forms from the button below or drop an email to Hamish.shilliday@bch.nhs.uk to get a pack sent out to you straight away.

So please join us and help make a difference to the children of the West Midlands and beyond.
