Birmingham Children's Hospital needs your energy to help our children. The Birmingham Boogie 2011 is a very simple sponsored dance event that is not only going to help raise money for some very deserving families and children but also will help you and your school get active, fit and healthy.
The event is based on the 'The Wake Up and Shake Up' programme that is organised by many schools each year as a regular activity. It is so simple that, as a teacher, you won't have too much to organise before the fun begins.
All you have to do is:
1. Get registered with Birmingham Children’s Hospital for your exciting pack of goodies and tools.
2. Arrange a 10 minute slot during your school timetable for either a single day or over a whole week.
3. Choose a song for the whole school or class to dance to. Your dance can be just a crazy freestyle or a choreographed piece…that is up to you.
4. Dance, Jump, Wiggle. Not only is it fun it has great health benefit!!
You can also send us a story of your event to put on our website and at the end of the year for the highest fundraising schoolthere will be a chance to win some fantastic prizes courtesy of www.timto.co.uk for your school to enjoy.
