At Birmingham Children's Hospital, Postgraduate Medical Education
is a busy function which works to ensure that the learning experiences
available to doctors in training is as good as it can be within
the obvious constraints of time and funding available. This
is a complex task with perhaps two main functions; organising
courses and administering the study leave process.
A wide variety of courses and programmes are run through postgraduate
medical education at Birmingham Childrens Hospital. These are

This course is compulsory for all SpRs in Paediatrics in the
West Midlands in starter and middle grades. It consists of montly
meetings conducted at Education Centres around the region on
topics of importance to SpRs in Paediatrics.
