| BCH Charities is an independent registered charity that exists to support and enhance the services of Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Trust. We help to fund additional facilities and equipment, support medical research and provide the extras that make being in hospital a more comfortable and less distressing experience for children and their families.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a centre of excellence. By providing additional funds, BCH Charities is able to enhance the hospital’s national reputation for the research, prevention, care and cure of childhood illnesses.
The Fundraising team is responsible for all aspects of charity fundraising for the hospital including partnerships with local businesses and Charitable Trusts, work with schools and community groups, organising special events and supporting individual fundraisers.
Donations make a real difference to us. For example, our latest fundraising priority is to raise £3million to help complete a national Children’s Burn Centre, here at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Donations of Second Hand Toys |
We regret that we cannot accept donations of second hand and "cuddly" toys as we are unable to ensure that they comply with Health & Safety and Infection Control policies.
We welcome donations of brand new soft toys for fundraising purposes (eg. as raffle prizes) but we are unable to give them to the children in our care.
Donations of good quality second hand toys are welcomed by a number of local charity shops, details of which can be found in Yellow Pages.
