Since 1997 James Brindley School has educated children in Birmingham
who are unable to attend school because of health reasons. The
school has 11 sites across the city, in hospitals and designated
units. The school aims to maintain high educational standards
and to ensure continuity of provision with the child's own school.
Children of long stay will be taught each day, either on a ward
or in a school building. We work within the framework of the
National Curriculum and are a registered examination centre.
Our curriculum is enriched by residential visits, educational
visits and visiting speakers or groups.
