Ward 6 is a 16-bed paediatric medical ward caring for babies
and children aged 0-7 years. We cater for a wide range of general
medical conditions and also care for children who have more
rare conditions. From acute to chronic conditions, hospital
stay of patients can vary from overnight to many months. The
majority of children are admitted from the Accident and Emergency
Unit (A&E) as emergencies, others may be transferred from other
hospitals, clinics or be a booked admission from home.
