We are a general medical ward caring for children between the
ages of seven-16 years of age. Treating children with conditions
such as asthma, febrile convulsions, diarrhoea and vomiting,
meningitis and pneumonia, we are also a specialty area for children
with cystic fibrosis, gastroenterology, dermatology and endocrine
problems. We work within the Medical and Continuing Care Services
Directorate of the Integrated Child Care Group (ICC), with Wards
2 and 6 (who provide care for the younger group of children
with medical conditions), the Medical Day Unit and the Continuing
Care Service. Due to the broad range of conditions cared for
on Ward 7, you can expect to encounter a wide selection of people
involved in a multi-disciplinary team.
