Great Trade UP

Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors Sponsors

On Tuesday 31st January 2012 we saw the launch of the Great Trade UP, supported by the Birmingham Post and sponsored by Forresters, a fundraising game to raise funds for Birmingham Children's Hospital's Emergency Department.

At the launch, the teams were presented with their balloon by host Russ Morris from brmb, and taken around the current Emergency Department, with its cramped waiting areas and dilapidated decor. With the proceeds from the Great Trade UP and other fundraising activities, the hospital hopes to raise £900,000 to refurbish the department, which sees on average 170 children within 24 hours, making it the busiest paediatric emergency department in the country

The Great Trade UP is an opportunity for businesses to use their highly accomplished negotiation and sales skills to raise a significant sum of money to refurbish our out-dated and poorly designed Emergency Department, which for some of the most dangerously ill or seriously injured youngsters in the region, is their only chance of survival.

We ran this game in 2009 and it was hugely popular, so it’s back due to popular demand. Only teams who have creativity and flair, a commitment to succeed and a desire to support the region’s children need apply.
