Join the Red Balloon Club

Red Balloon Club is our way of encouraging donations to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us make things better for our children.

Join the Red Balloon Club and you’ll know that your money will make a real difference to the lives of the children we look after.

You’ll be pleased to hear that we work closely with a number of partners (who also care about children) to provide a range of benefits for Red Balloon Club members. For example, over the next six months we’ll be entering all members’ names into monthly prize draws to win a FREE year’s subscription to LoveFilm, the UK's easiest online DVD rental and entertainment service. We’re also arranging a special, reduced-price event at Drayton Manor this summer, which promises fun for everyone.

Child membership of the Red Balloon Club is just £1 a month, adults £2 a month, and family membership just £3 a month. Of course, you can choose to increase your monthly donation to whatever you like.

Along with a Welcome Pack of goodies and access to a password-protected, members only website, we’ll also send you quarterly magazines to keep you updated with news and features about the hospital.

There are regular membership events too, such as Light Up A Child’s Life and our special Shopping Day in Birmingham.

All of the money donated through the Red Balloon Club will be put into a special fund by the charity’s Trustees. Each year this fund will be used to support a particular investment priority at the hospital. For example, all of this year’s donations will be put towards the hospital’s aim to raise £2 million for the development of a new, state-of-the-art Heart Unit. A very worthwhile cause, we’re sure you’ll agree.

Every April, at the start of our new financial year, we’ll let you know where your money is going (and the good work it’s doing). I very much hope that you’ll decide to join the Red Balloon Club – and I thank you on behalf of the children whose lives you’ll be making a real difference to.
