Former England and Wolverhampton Wanderers footballer Steve Bull is raising money for the Birmingham Children's Hospital Cancer Appeal by taking part in the Silverstone Classic 'Celebrity Challenge' in July.
The charity race takes place on Saturday 21 July, when an all-star line-up will compete in 130mph Morgan lightweight racecars at the famous Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.
Steve is calling for people to help them raise as much money as possible for the Cancer Appeal by donating online.
Steve says "As a long time supporter of Birmingham Children's Hospital I am really pleased to be taking part in the Silverstone Classic Celebrity Challenge for such a great cause. I have seen some of the fantastic work that is done for the thousands of children the hospital treats so have always done what I can. Please help me in supporting Birmingham Children's Hospital and give whatever you can. Keep your fingers crossed for a win too!"
The Cancer Appeal aims to raise £4million to provide more space and better surroundings for the children in our care. More than 10% of all children with cancer in the UK are treated at Birmingham Children's Hospital, and more than 200 new cases of childhood cancer are diagnosed each year.
