Join our Friends Groups and Help us to Shape the future of Fundraising

We’re on the lookout for people like you who have already made an impact on the life of our hospital, to join one of our new Fundraising Friends Groups. We know many of our most committed fundraisers have strong links to a particular ward or department. Our new network of friends will work together to develop and run their own fundraising events and activities to support areas of the hospital that are especially important to them.

Joining a Friends groups is a great opportunity to meet new people, have fun and to make a real difference and are set to become integral to the future of fundraising and we need talented and experienced fundraisers – just like you - to get them off the ground.

We’re holding a series information evenings at the hospital starting in the new year – so if you’d like to know more please contact the Fundraising team on 0121 333 8506 or email annie.ransome@bch.nhs.uk

Community groups

Are you part of a choir, sports club, rotary club or any other Community Group? Help us reach more people and make a difference!

Chanterelle Ladies Choir raised £2,100 for our Neonatal Surgical Ward and Intensive Care Unit.

Anybody can support us by fundraising within their local community. Whatever type of Community Group you are part of, you can get your club involved and help us to make a difference.

You can be as creative as you like when coming up with ideas... Why not think about organising a collection, a sports event or if you are a musically talented group why not host a concert in aid of our  hospital like Chanterelle Ladies Choir did...

Check out of Little Book of Big Ideas for more ideas on ways that your group can raise money.

You can request a speaker to visit your group to hear more about the work of Birmingham Children's Hospital and the ways that you can get involved.

For more information please contact our Regional Fundraising Team on 0121 333 8499.

Set up collection tins in your area

Help us to raise funds in your community by placing our collecting tins in local shops, pubs, hairdressers, dry cleaners, petrol stations – in fact anywhere people might have spare change! Our  volunteer Collection Box Coordinators are responsible for placing, monitoring and managing a small number of tins in their own area. We provide the tins and the paperwork  - you provide the leg work! A great way to support our charity without going too far from home.

For more information please contact getinvolved@bch.nhs.uk or call 0121 333 8650.
