Over four hundred supporters took part in our charity’s first-ever 5k walk on Saturday (29 July) to raise funds for our hospital’s sick kids.

From kids to canines, parents to grandparents, the fantastic fundraisers joined forces for ‘Fun Family 5’ – our exciting new event in association with The Big Sleuth.

During the day, attendees completed a 5km sponsored stroll through Sutton’s beautiful parkland, before enjoying the bear-themed activities on offer.

The final Big Sleuth bear, Bearhug, was also unveiled for the very first time, and has now joined his furry friends on the trail at New Street Station (trail number 61).

Designed by artist Rob Bannon and Director of Wild in Art, Charlie Langhorne, Bearhug was brought to life in honour of the brave children and families cared for at our hospital.

Sometimes, all you need is a big bear hug and Bearhug’s design means visitors can take a seat inside and truly embrace The Big Sleuth trail!
