We’re sorry to say that along with a number of events, The Great North Run has had to be cancelled due to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. We know that it’s especially frustrating if you’ve been training hard or looking forward to your fundraising event.

We’re as gutted as you are that it won’t be able to go ahead, but we want you to know that we’ll still be on hand to support you through your fundraising journey, so that even during this uncertain time, your super efforts won’t go to waste.

How to run for us

If you want to take part in the 2020 Great North Run, you can sign up to the reminder service and the Great Run Company will be in touch with you as soon as the ballot opens in early January 2020. If you're lucky enough to get a place please email [email protected] with proof of entry and we’ll then send you a fundraising pack and your own iconic red balloon running vest.

We have 10 charity places available which can be applied for by using the form below. Each place has a minimum fundraising target of £400. Places are given on the strength of your application.
