The NHS is turning 70 this year and what better way to celebrate one of the nation’s most loved institutions than with a cup of tea.

This July, people up and down the country will get together to raise a cuppa to our beloved NHS and raise funds for NHS charities. Over the last 70 years the NHS has transformed the health and well-being of the nation. And helping behind the scenes are more than 250 dedicated NHS charities. Whether supporting research and development, brightening up hospital environments, providing state-of-the-art technologies and equipment or supporting staff, they help the NHS to go above and beyond.

NHS Big 7Tea

The NHS has touched us all and NHS Big 7Tea is your chance to celebrate and say thank you.

On Thursday 5 July 2018, people across the UK are organising tea parties in support of an NHS charity that means the most to them.

Invite your friends and family around for a tea party - everything you raise will help support patients, service users, families, carers and staff across Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital Charity. We will use your donations where the need is greatest or, if you let us know, you can fundraise for a service, ward or team that is close to your heart.

Join us!

If you'd like to join us for the Big 7Tea on or around Thursday 5 July 2018, please email us at [email protected] and let us know you will be taking part.

Fifth of July was chosen as it's the actual 70th birthday of the NHS but you don't have to hold your party on that day - if another day in July works better, go for that!

Once you've registered you can download all the materials you will need to make your tea party a success. from posters to advertise your party to bunting and selfie props - everything is there so you can get started.

Post-party, please pay in the funds you've raised to us promptly so all your hard work can start helping patients and service users. Please remember to include your details with anything you post to us, otherwise we won't know who to thank.

Can't join the party but would still like to say thank you?

You can make a donation to support our Hospital Charity.

You can register your Fundraising activity by clicking here, or by emailing [email protected] or calling 0121 333 8506.
