Join in with a bit of fun, and have a bet about the vital statistics of your new ‘Bundle of Joy’! Clothing Donations & Recycling We’ve partnered up with ClothesAid, the UK’s largest clothing collection company, who collect donated good quality clothing, accessories, shoes, linen & bric-a-brac on our behalf. We don’t have any charity shops on the high street, so this is a way of donating your old belongings to us from the comfort of your home. Look out for our Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity bags in your letterbox, fill up the bag inside with your unwanted goods, and leave them out for collection on the specified day – safe in the knowledge that your old possessions will find new homes, whilst helping us to do more for sick kids & their families. And if you can’t support us this time, please be aware that all of our Clothes Aid bags are recyclable, along with other plastic bags at large supermarkets. High quality donated items are exported to retailers throughout Europe (usually around 85% of donations) with the remaining items being recycled, so as well as helping Birmingham Children’s Hospital you are also doing your bit to ensure a greener planet for generations to come. Clothes Aid staff will always wear uniform, hi-vis jackets and display ID. They only operate in licensed areas and are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and Institute of Fundraising.
