About us News Fundraising to keep families together At our hospital, the impact of fundraising on patient experience is much more than purely financial – it makes a real difference to the treatment and support we provide to children and their families. Thanks to supporters, like Beth and Simon (pictured), we’ve been able to push boundaries and improve standards of excellence in research, education and treatment. Their daughter Imogen – now a fit and healthy four-year-old – suffered kidney failure aged just seven-months-old as a result of a condition called rotavirus. The care we received from Birmingham Children’s Hospital was impeccable from the outset," said Beth, "but the money we’ve raised for new sleeping chairs means parents, like us, can stay with their children twenty-four seven and rest a little easier.
