Fundraise Fundraising Ideas Fundraise At Home Who said you had to take on a grand challenge to fundraise for our charity? There's plenty of things you can do from the comfort of your home instead. Take a look at the ideas below to get started, or, if you've had a brilliant idea of your own and are choosing to donate the money you've raised to Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity that's wonderful too! Don't forget to shout about it on social media, you can find some helpful hints and tips here. Please register your fundraising with us and a member of our fundraising team will be in touch to support you throughout your fundraising activities. If you've finished collecting sponsorship from your challenge or event you can pay your money in to us safely and securely by clicking the "Pay in funds raised" button at the bottom of the page. Virtual Quizzes Become Quizmaster for the evening and host a virtual quiz with your family and friends via video chat. Get creative with team names, music, sports and trivia rounds and gift your entrance fees to us at the end of the night. Donate your expenses Now that the majority of people are working from home and avoiding the slog of the daily commute, why not donate the money you'd usually spend on coffees, fuel, mid morning muffins or new work clothes to us? A little can go a long way for the patients in our care so get donating while you conference call in your PJ's for a while! Virtual Parties A great opportunity to gather your friends and family together on a video call and get creative! Donate the money you would have spent on a meal or drinks, or play a game of bingo and charge a fee to take part. Virtual Collection Tin Set up your own ‘collection tin’ by creating a JustGiving page. Use the opportunity to also spread the message of our amazing hospital to your friends, family and followers! Facebook Fundraiser Are you celebrating something special soon? Maybe your birthday or anniversary is coming up or you're looking for a way to celebrate an upcoming religious holiday. Whatever the occasion you can launch a Facebook Fundraiser to help raise money for our hospital and patients through your Facebook profile and invite all of your buddies to contribute on your behalf. Dress Down Challenge Why not get your kids to pick out an outfit for you to wear for the day, the crazier the better, then get snapping and post the photos on social media! You could involve everyone in your "virtual" office with a prize for the best (or worst) outfit of the day! You could even agree on a theme each week for your team to follow (and the kids to interpret as they will). 30 Day Challenge Why not challenge yourself or your family to a 30 Day Challenge and get sponsored to achieve your goals? You could perform 100 Star Jumps a day; undertake a gaming challenge to master a new computer game; or create a new lego masterpiece every day for 30 days. Whatever floats your boat, it's up to you! Simply set up a Just Giving page and ask your family and friends to sponsor you. Virtual Challenge If you’re feeling particularly energetic, you could also take on something more physical to raise funds for our charity. You could climb the height of Snowdon on your stairs (24,785 steps), walk 20,000 Steps (which is the same as our Nurses in their busy roles), or take part in the Local Landmarks Challenge to undertake a virtual run around your local landmarks. Simply set up a Just Giving page and ask your family and friends to support you with your challenge. 2.6 Challenge Developed by the organisers of the London Marathon, the 2.6 Challenge asks you to use the markers 2.6, 26 or 260 as your goal, inspired by the 26 miles you run when taking on a marathon. Get creative and choose your own challenge, such as 26 laps of your garden or maybe 260 push ups! Find out more about how to get involved and raise money for us here. Manage Cookie Preferences
