Local MC Has A Raving Good Time For Sick Kids

A kind-hearted, local MC and event promoter, wanting to do some good for his local community, has organised a rave in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, raising over £4,000 for sick kids. 

Aimran Majid, also known as Magika, is an MC from Birmingham. Wanting to raise money for the Children’s Hospital, he did what he does best, and decided to organise a rave. He rallied his friends and contacts to throw ‘Raveology’ at Tunnel Club Birmingham. 

With over 40 acts, including big names in drum and bass, such as Amplify Drum and Bass, Bass Man and Nebula 2 all agreeing to donate their fee and perform for free, this meant all the proceeds from the ticketed event would go straight to the hospital, totalling a brilliant £4,000.  

Aimran oversaw the challenge of organising such a mammoth event and worked hard every day to ensure its success.  As well as raising money, one of his main aims was to unite the community, as being local to Birmingham, Aimran has seen first-hand the impact the Children’s Hospital has on the people of the Birmingham and beyond. 

Word had spread that the rave was in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, and Aimran was delighted to find that some of event-goers included nurses and family members of children being treated, which created a real sense of family at the event. With such a successful event, with an electric atmosphere, this has spurred Aimran on to turn Raveology into an annual event and he’s confident it will only get bigger and better. 

Aimran says: “Uniting my love of music and community has meant we can all make such a difference to the Children’s Hospital which has served our community for generations. Being able to give back to the inspirational patients and staff is a real blessing and I cannot wait to continue doing this in the future.”

It was a fantastic idea for Aimran to utilise his black book of music contacts and hold an event like this. We love our community and couldn’t continue our work without people like Aimran and events like Raveology.”
