Individual Giving Manager

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is considered a pioneering centre of childhood medicine. We care for some of the sickest children in the country, treating over 250,000 patients each year. The charity arm of the hospital makes a significant contribution to the care provided, focusing on funding state of the art equipment, researching childhood illnesses and helping to develop a child friendly environment for our patients and families.
An exciting 12 month fixed-term maternity cover opportunity has arisen to deliver the Individual Giving activities at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and we're looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our successful Regular Giving, Direct Mail, Lottery and Legacy Giving fundraising.
Reporting to the Public Fundraising & Marketing Managers, we are looking for an experienced manager with a successful track record of these different individual giving elements to maximise income by maintaining existing relationships and generating new long term support, whilst also raising the profile of both Birmingham Childrens Hospital Charity and Birmingham Womens Hospital Charity across the Midlands & beyond.
The successful person will therefore need to be highly organised and creative with an eye for detail and good awareness of current trends as well as being a great motivator to encourage the team to work to the same vision.
Working as a member of the senior management team you will act as an exemplary role model and focus on delivering high quality experiences for our donors that support our fundraising strategic objectives and team values to make the act of giving amazing. This role will play a pivotal part in contributing to the overall growth of the charity and key to this will be developing the team culture that will enthuse staff and nurture talent.
As such you should have a proven track record in excellent leadership and influencing skills and knowledge of the work of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and BCH Charity.
