Hot Drinks:

Please ensure that all hot drinks are out of the reach of babies and children. Scalds are the primary reason that babies and children are admitted to our Burns Centre here at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Fancy Dress Outfits:

Fancy dress clothing is classed as a toy. Please ensure that children wearing fancy dress costumes are not near any naked flames or fires, which may cause the costume to go on fire.

Three Generations Run Three Races in Baby's Memory

Three generations of a Wolverhampton family who each laced up their running shoes to take on a race have raised over £600 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, in memory of their son, grandson and brother, who passed away at just two-days-old.

A group of nurseries with four branches across South Birmingham and the surrounding villages has hit the phenomenal milestone of having raised £40,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity after 32 years of fundraising.

Gifts in Kind

We often receive donations of toys and games for our patients, particularly around the festive seasons such as Easter or Christmas, and whilst we are incredibly grateful for these, we do have some guidelines around what we can or cannot accept.

Clothing Donations and Recycling

We’ve partnered up with Collection 4 Clothes, a local clothing collection company, who collect donated good quality clothing, accessories, shoes, linen & bric-a-brac on our behalf. We don’t have any charity shops on the high street, so this is a way of donating your old belongings to us from the comfort of your home.
