TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Promoter: Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham, B4 6NH.

Both General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (both available at bch.org.uk) also apply when entering the Raffle, or when interacting with BWC through any other means.

Who can enter:

Prize Draw open to UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man residents aged 18 years or over only.

Opening/closing date & time: The draw/s opens for entries at 12pm Tuesday 19 September 2023 and closes for entries at 11:59pm on Sunday 24 September 2023.

Prize Draw in relation to the Birmingham Women’s & Children’s Hospital Charity 2023 Run Alton Towers opens for entries online via the website on Tuesday 12 September 2023 at 4pm.

Prize Draw closes at 11:59pm on Sunday 24 September 2023, any entries received after this date will not be entered into the draw.

Winner selection & contact:

The draw will take place on Tuesday 26 September 2023 and winners will be emailed by 5pm on Tuesday 26 September 2023.

Subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions, the first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will win the prize.

How to enter & cost of entry:

The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.  Entries can be made online at bch.org.uk/forms/nrs-comp-23 

The prize

There will be two prize winners. The prize is (1) entry per winner into the 2023 Run Alton Towers. Winners can chose between a 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon. Delivery will be made by Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity to the winner’s email.

            

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity General Competition Terms and Conditions

 

1.            By entering the draw/s, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Rules.

2.            The draw/s opens for entries at 12pm Tuesday 19 September 2023 and closes for entries at 11:59pm on Sunday 24 September 2023.

3.            The winners of the draw will be chosen at random from all entries received by the Closing Date.

4.            The winners will receive their prize email to the email on their entry form.

5.            No cash alternative is available.

7.            The draw is open to all UK residents who are aged 18 or over on the date of entry.

8.            Any person found to be under 18 (eighteen) years of age on the date of the form being filled in automatically forfeits the right to the Prize.

9.            You must be 18 (eighteen) or over to claim the Prize. We may conduct random checks of entrants to ensure there are no underage players. Random checks are conducted using AgeChecked (or similar service from a third party supplier as and when stipulated). If a person enters the game stating that they are over the age of 18 (eighteen) and subsequently it is found that they are less than 18 (eighteen) years of age, they will have any money paid in relation to the draw/s returned to them and where relevant will automatically forfeit the right to any prize.

10.         The winners may need to provide proof of age before collecting the prize. Acceptable documentation of the winner’s proof of age will be a scan of their passport or driving license.

11.         It is free to enter the draw.

12.         Winner of the Prize will be contacted by the Promoter within seven working days of the draw/s taking place.

13.         All participants are solely responsible for providing and (where necessary) updating the Promoter with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and the Society will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any participant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the participant has provided.

14.         The Society shall not be liable to any participant for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:

a.            any delays or failures in the delivery methods used by the Promoter or the participant;

b.            any delays or failures in any software or other systems used by the Promoter for the administration of the draw/s;

c.            any delays or failures in the banking system used by the Promoter or the participant;

d.            any refusal by the Promoter to accept an individual’s entry or the cancellation of an entry;

e.            any event beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.

15.         To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes any liability for loss or damage incurred by any winner of a Prize in connection with or arising from the use of the Prize or participation in the draw/s.

16.         The Promoter is committed to protecting the privacy of participants. Personal information that is collected from participants is used lawfully in accordance with all current Data Protection Legislation(s). In providing your information to the Promoter, you consent to the Promoter using your information to process your entry and otherwise as described in these terms and conditions including (but not limited to) passing winners’ contact details on to representatives of third party companies used for the purposes of fulfilling the Prize and publishing winners’ names on the Website. 17.         The Promoter reserves the right to:

a.            disqualify or decline to accept the entry of any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these terms or otherwise acted fraudulently;

b.            terminate or suspend the draw/s for reasons beyond its reasonable control

18.         In the event of any dispute regarding the draw, if the dispute cannot be resolved by the parties, it will be referred to an independent third party.
