Thanks to our phenomenal supporters, we had a fantastic festive period and we’re pleased to announce we’ve now raised over £2.5 million towards our £3.65 million Star Appeal to build the UK’s first Rare Diseases Centre for children.

Hundreds of fundraisers from across the West Midlands did their bit in a festive knit in December to support our third Festive Jumper Day and we had more people than ever come along to our Christmas Concert – which raised over £4,000 for our much-needed new centre.

Not only that, but generous Christmas grotto-goers at House of Fraser’s winter wonderland helped to raise an incredible £8,000, after the high street store kindly decided to donate £1.20 from every ticket sold to our Star Appeal.

Annie Eytle, Acting Events and Regional Fundraising Manager at our charity, said: “Whether you donned some wacky winter woollies, came to our sing-a-long, visited our grotto, or held your own festive fundraiser – we’d like to say a BIG thank you to you for making our Rare Diseases Centre one step closer to becoming a reality.

“Christmas is a special time for giving as well as receiving and you really have given our brave children the best present of all – a real boost to our Star Appeal!”
