Tom and Becky’s daughter Evie was born with Exomphalos, an abdominal wall defect which meant that her liver and bowel were on the outside of her body. Within an hour of arriving into the world, she was transferred to our hospital where she spent the first five months of her life.

Evie underwent a series of operations and, thanks to the wonderful care the she received from our surgical team and nursing staff, she is now a bright active 10 year old.

“There is nothing we can do that can ever repay what the hospital has given to us” says Tom “Every day that we look at our daughter we remember the amazing care that she received. Thank you never seems enough.”

Tom and Becky now raise funds to try to make life easier for future patients and their families and have also decided to leave a gift to our charity in their wills.
