Collection tins help spread awareness of our fantastic hospital far and wide while raising the vital funds needed to transform the lives of our sick kids.

Follow the below tips to find out how to set up and cash in your collection tin:

  • When your tin arrives, place it in a visible and easily accessible location, such as a reception desk or next to a till point. Ensure the tin is secured to the location so it can’t be taken

  • Once you notice the tin is getting full, detach it and when it’s safe to do so, remove the security seal sticker from the top of the tin

  • Pop the white plastic circle off the top of your tin

  • Empty the contents into a secure bag or cash tin. Push the white plastic circle back on top and place on a new security seal sticker

  • Take the cash to your local bank - we recommend travelling with another person for safety – and ask the cashier to donate the money to our charity. If they have a cash deposit unit, you can use this instead by tipping the money in and entering the following bank details:

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity
NatWest plc Harborne Branch, 166 High Street, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 9PW

Sort Code: 51-70-32
Account Number: 81652798

Include the reference number you were given when you received your tin so we know it’s from you (if you’ve forgotten this please use your business name or surname instead).

Once you’re done, email us at [email protected] to let us know to expect a donation from you (don’t worry if you forget, by using your reference number we’ll know where it’s come from).

Contact us if you have any other queries around setting up or cashing in your collection tin.

Thank you for helping us do more for sick kids.
