What's it like?

The TCS London Marathon is set to make history in 2027 with a special one-off two-day event. Taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027, an incredible 100,000 participants will take on the iconic route from Greenwich to Westminster, making this the biggest London Marathon ever.

Whether you're chasing a personal goal, running in memory of a loved one or taking on the challenge for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, you'll be part of an unforgettable weekend filled with determination, celebration and community spirit.

As one of the world's most iconic running events, the TCS London Marathon offers a truly unique experience. Every mile you run and every pound you raise will help Birmingham Children's Hospital continue to provide the very best care for sick kids and their families when they need it most.

This special two-day event creates even more opportunities to be part of something extraordinary and make a difference for children across the West Midlands and beyond.

The ballot will open in April 2026. We advise all those who apply for a charity place with us to also enter the public ballot.

Charity places

Applications are being reviewed on an ongoing basis and places will start to be allocated from Friday 19 June 2026. Successful and unsuccessful candidates will be notified by Friday 3 July.
