Longer stays now seem less daunting, and a positive hospital experience helps to lessen anxiety and worries.

The new centre is based in Waterfall House, our clinical block completed in early 2018. We closed our appeal after raising £4m thanks to over 4,350 individual donations.

Transforming Cancer Care

A Landmark Investment in Care

The new Children’s Cancer Centre brings together oncology inpatient and outpatient care at the hospital in one place for the first time. Its carefully designed floors feature single en-suite rooms, play areas and a teenage common room, providing the world-class facilities our children and young people have needed for so long. This is the single biggest investment we have made in our Steelhouse Lane site. The world-class care we provide to children and young people is now matched by world-class facilities, making an enormous difference to them and their families.
