Dine And Donate Returned For 2025
20 Feb, 2025
On Tuesday 28 January 2025, at Midlands Hospitality Network, we came together with Tonic Talent to relaunch our ‘Dine and Donate’ campaign for its second consecutive year. Running throughout April, participating hospitality venues invited guests to add a £1 donation to their bill to support the vital work of our hospital.
Following the success of the inaugural campaign, which raised £21,636, the 2025 initiative surpassed last year’s total, with an increasing number of businesses getting involved. F1 Arcade, Simpsons, Clays, Cuubo, and The Grand Hotel Birmingham all participated.
Creating a Brighter Future for Patients and Families
Funds raised through ‘Dine and Donate’ will directly support essential improvements at our hospital, with a major focus on transforming its entrance. The current entrance is cold, unwelcoming, and clinical, not resembling the place of care that it is. Through the our £3m It Starts Here Appeal, this much-needed redesign will create a warm, child-friendly space, helping to ease anxieties for young patients and their families as they enter the hospital.
Conrad Brunton, Managing Director of Tonic Talent, shared: “”Dine and Donate is more than just a fundraising initiative; it’s a way for our industry to come together and create a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in our community. Last year’s campaign demonstrated the generosity and heart of the hospitality sector, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve in 2025. By joining this initiative, businesses not only support a vital cause but also show their commitment to making a difference. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for the young patients who rely on Birmingham Children’s Hospital.”
Helen Miles, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re over the moon to be continuing our partnership with Tonic Talent as they relaunch Dine and Donate for a second year. We were blown away by the support we saw for our hospital from so many of the region’s brilliant hospitality venues last year and a phenomenal amount was raised. We can’t wait to see where this ingenious initiative will lead this year.”
Along with Tonic Talent, we’d like to say a heartfelt thanks to all participating venues and supporters for their generosity. With the help of the hospitality industry, we can make a lasting impact on the experience of over 100,000 children and families who rely on our services each year.
